How to choose and verify a research peptide
What to check before ordering: assay method, batch documentation, storage requirements and intended research use.
Cellular ageing and matrix research

Reading a product listing
Every listing shows four things that matter before price: the compound name, the vial size in milligrams or international units, the assayed purity percentage for the current lot, and the batch code. The purity figure is not a specification or a target — it is the result the HPLC run produced for the material you will receive, and it is reproduced on the certificate you can search in the library.
Vial size is stated as the mass of lyophilised peptide in the vial, not as a concentration, because concentration depends entirely on the volume of bacteriostatic water you choose to reconstitute with. A 5mg vial reconstituted with 2ml of diluent gives a 2.5mg/ml stock; the same vial with 5ml gives 1mg/ml. Choose the volume that puts your working concentration in a range your pipettes can measure accurately.
Batch codes follow a compound-month-run format, so BP-2408-D is the fourth production run of BPC-157 assayed in August 2024. Quoting that code in an enquiry lets us pull the exact analytical trace rather than the summary certificate.
Choosing between similar compounds
Several groups in the catalogue contain compounds that look interchangeable and are not. Among the incretins, semaglutide is a single GLP-1 receptor agonist, tirzepatide adds GIP receptor activity, and retatrutide adds glucagon receptor activity on top of both. Choosing between them is choosing how many receptor arms your model needs to isolate — running all three in parallel is the standard comparative design.
